Obtaining
the Revelation Knowledge of God
God's
word is available to be read, studied, examined and lived. When you
have revelation knowledge of the word, it is like the lights come on
and you have a deeper understanding. No matter what level you are, there
is a place for you. "The entrance of thy words giveth light; it
giveth understanding unto the simple" Psalms 119:130. "As
newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow
thereby; " I Peter 2:2.
As you begin to grow in the word, your faith will also grow (so then
faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God, Romans 10:17).
As your faith and hunger level grows for the word, God will begin by
the Holy Spirit to show you deeper revelation. "But it is written,
Eyes Hath Not Seen, Nor Ear Heard, Neither Have Entered Into The Heart
Of Man, The Things Which God Hath Prepared For Them That Love Him. But
God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth
all things, yea, the deep things of God". I Cor. 2:9-10
but
unless you repent, you will all likewise perish. Luke 13:3
When lives are in despair. When lives have no joy or peace of mind.
When they are hooked on drugs and alcohol or have other problems. You
tell them "You need to turn your life over to Jesus". They
may agree but when you say repent they think you have said a bad word.
The word repent means that you are deeply sorry for what you have done
and you have turned from your evil ways. You cannot go to heaven without
repentance. True repentance in Jesus name is Salvation.
Live your life each day as if it is being recorded in history.
What is your legacy?
What Christ like character do you portray to people you come in contact
with daily? Will God say, "Enter in my good and faithful servant"?
It is important that we think of these things on a daily basis. One
day we will have to be accountable for our actions, good or bad. Our
dear friend and brother in the Lord, Dennis Conners went to be with
the King of all kings this past week. His funeral service was a reflection
of the life he lived. Friends got up and spoke of what a funny way he
had about him and how he loved to eat hot-dogs and pies. The thing that
meant the most was how he loved God. Dennis loved people, he was kind
and had a heart for the down and outers. There were tears at the funeral,
but there was also a joy knowing where Dennis is and the privilege of
knowing him. We're
going to miss you Dennis.
Every decision
counts.
An evangelist once ended a revival meeting by asking the unbelievers
who were present that night to seriously consider the way of the bible
as their own and to return the following night prepared to make a decision
for Christ. On that night, October 8, 1871, the Chicago fire broke out.
Four miles of buildings were burned and 250 people lost their lives.
Because of this, the evangelist vowed never to end a service without
giving an invitation to accept Christ. In II Corinthians 6, it says
"now is the day of salvation". We don't know what lies ahead
tomorrow. If you don't know Jesus Christ as you personal savior, please
accept him today. Just ask him to cleanse you of all your sins, to live
in your heart and to lead you and guide you each day. God loves you
and desire good things for his children. Stay strong in Christ.
The Joy of
Christianity
Some Christians
say they have lost their joy when actually they never have. What they've
done is trade it for the cares of this world. The bible says, "To
be content in every state." Our relationship with God suffers when
we become too busy to take time out for Him. Although it is not always
easy when you have a busy schedule, by pressing in and making time for
Him, He will bless your life tremendously. Remember, the joy of the
Lord is your strength. Without joy, we put ourselves in position to
be weakened and an open target for the enemy. A merry heart doeth good
like a medicine! God loves us and he desires us to be full partakers
of his joy. We love you and desire God's best for you all.
Being All You Can Be In God
In the minds
of most of people, it is believed that you have reached your ultimate
goal in God when you have a large ministry, can prophecy fluently or
have the wealth of King Solomon. These things are great and are certainly
the icing on the cake, but the true ultimate goal in God is to be like
Him. Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh
(Gal. 5:16).
Contrary to some beliefs, walking in the spirit is not appearing to
be more spiritual than others. It is allowing the fruit of the Spirit
(Love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, faith, meekness, and
temperance) to have its work in you. Be not deceived; God is not mocked:
for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth
to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth
to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. And let us
not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint
not (Gal. 6:7-9).
God desires to build His character in us. A definition of character
is one's total personality. All of us, not just part of us should be
yielded to God's character or personality. In the Word, there are many
wonderful aspects of God's character. It is like finding one treasure
after another and when we apply these to our lives, we get to be partakers
of these treasures. God is so good and the closer you walk in Him the
more you realize He wants the best for you. Growing pains are not fun,
but when you reach that mature place with God, there is an inner peace
knowing you are right where He wants you. If we stay focused, we will
reach our goal.
Trust In The Lord and Follow Him
Is
what seems normal to the world really a life of sin? Whether its fornication,
adultery or drinking and drugs, an unholy way of life leads to destruction.
Society has told people these things are okay and their senses have
been numbed. The bible tells us to come out from among them and be separated.
The ways of the world have somehow seeped into the church world today.
As Christians, we cannot partake of the Lord's table and the table of
the devil. Our minds must be renewed through the Word of God and prayer.
The Bible says to put on the mind of Christ not the mind of this world.
God does not tell us to abstain from these things because he is trying
to deprive us of fun. He knows the true outcome of what these type of
lifestyles can bring. God's ways are higher than our ways, His thoughts
are higher than our thoughts. We must trust in Him and know he is working
on our behalf.
Law
of Warfare
(Deuteronomy 20:1-4)
1) When thou goest out to battle against thine enemies, and seest horses,
and chariots, and a people more than thou, be not afraid of them: for
the Lord thy God is with thee, which brought thee up out of the land
of Egypt. 2) And it shall be when you come nigh unto the battle, that
the priest shall approach and speak unto the people, 3) And say unto
them, hear, O Israel, ye approach this day unto battle against your
enemies: let not your hearts faint, fear not, and do not tremble, neither
be ye terrified because of them; 4) For the Lord your God is he that
goeth with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.
When you see your enemies such as poverty, sickness or distress as the
children of Israel did in verse 1, be not afraid to go out to battle.
When you see the battle come close to you as they did in verse 2, don't
run. Approach the battle and don't be afraid, for the Lord your God
will fight for you against your enemies and he will save you. This is
the law of warfare according to these scriptures. You are the head and
not the tail. You have been bought with a price and by his stripes you
are healed.
The violent take it by force, so go and win your battle. Have no doubt
or unbelief and you will be victorious.
Don't grow too busy for God during the holidays.
As
we enter into the holiday season, it is a time to reflect on how we
have spent our lives this year. We also think about spending time with
family and friends. Depending on your situation, this time of year can
be joyous or sad. God desires to meet our every need, whether it is
physical, spiritual, emotional, or financial. Philippians 4:19 says,
"But my God will supply all your needs according to his riches
in glory by Christ Jesus." Allow God to fill every part of your
life during this season and remember not to grow too busy to spend time
with the creator of the universe.
The Perfect Gift
As
the years go by, it seems to be getting more and more politically correct
to leave Christ out of Christmas. In most public schools and work places
the word "Christmas" is becoming obsolete. It is be replaced
instead with Holiday Season or Winter Break.
According to John 3:16,17, the Word says, "For God so love the
world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth
in him might be saved. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn
the world; but that the world through him might be saved."
Christmas is the time to celebrate God giving his Son to us, that if
we believe, we can be saved from an eternity in hell. God gives us a
way of escape through Jesus. By believing in Christ, we will also have
everlasting life. That's forever and ever. God is good and has given
us the best gift we could ever receive.
Merry Christmas and Be Blessed.

The
Ten Commandments
I.) Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
II.) Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image. III.) Thou shalt
not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain. IV.) Remember the Sabbath
day, to keep it holy. V.) Honor thy father and thy mother. VI.) Thou
shalt not kill. VII.) Thou shalt not commit adultery. VIII.) Thou shalt
not steal.
IX.) Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor. X.) Thou
shalt not covet. Exodus 20: 3-17
The Ten Commandments in today's society sometimes seem forgotten. When
Moses came off the mountain, after God had him write them, he was so
illuminated with the glory of God that it was hard to look upon him.
God gives us rules to go by not to hurt us, but to help us and to keep
us from harm. As we memorize the Ten Commandments and apply them to
our lives, we will be blessed. Of course, there are many other commandments
in the bible that are a blessing as well. The bible says, " The
fear of God is the beginning of all wisdom". As we reverence God
Almighty and keep his commandment, we take the limits off what he can
do in our lives. Be blessed.
